Corporate Transient
Local and national account targeting, on-site visits and calls, rate negotiation support and RFP season cover - from building the target list to submitting and chasing.
Corporate & MICE sales
Proactive corporate, group and MICE sales representation - working inside your team, under your brand.
The problem
Filling your hotel’s commercial gaps - whether that’s a particular segment in crisis, a conversion issue, a quarter that’s looking poor, or an inexperienced team that needs training and new systems. Common issues hotels face include:
No Proactive Resource. No additional pipeline is being driven - only reactive teams ‘going through the motions’. No targeting of crisis segments, and no commercial plans or strategies in place to find new business.
Poor Conversion. Poor response times, no chasers or follow-ups, not understanding the client’s requirements, no connections with agents and account managers, or no audit of your property’s platform page for some time. All of these contribute to poor conversion.
Not Understanding Your Market. No idea why you haven’t been re-invited to RFPs, direct transient and MICE clients ghosting and never returning, and not understanding why you’re losing your share.
Services
Take the whole proactive function, or one segment that isn’t getting attention. Everything runs in your systems, in your brand’s voice, with your rates and your approvals.
Local and national account targeting, on-site visits and calls, rate negotiation support and RFP season cover - from building the target list to submitting and chasing.
Strategic targeting of the clients and agents who actually book into your market, an enquiry conversion strategy, and reactivating contracted accounts, agents and bookers who’ve gone quiet.
Databases and templates already built by segment, so we hit the ground running on new business, plus clear reporting for your GM and owners.
Sales support for whatever the reason - a recruitment process, RFP and budget season, industry show representation, maternity cover, sickness, or just short-notice cover.
What clients say
Through Stephanie’s proactive approach, strong industry relationships, and deep understanding of the local market, she helped us rebuild our base business and generate new opportunities at a time when growth has been very challenging. Her ability to identify key demand drivers, target the right segments, and consistently advocate for our property resulted in measurable improvements to our revenue performance.
Stephanie was very responsive, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Her support played a significant role in helping us regain momentum and strengthen our position in the market whilst we awaited the arrival of our new Director of Sales. Stephanie also went on to support the induction for the new DOS which was greatly appreciated.
I would highly recommend Stephanie Oliver and StayProactive Consulting, to any business seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven sales professional who can make a real difference, especially in challenging trading conditions.

How it works
An initial call to understand your hotel’s needs and expectations. Once contracted, an on-site visit to meet the GM and team.
A look at your current mix, feeder markets, existing account base and what’s been tried.
An agreed list of accounts, agencies and segments worth the effort, with a weekly call plan and clear objectives.
Designed around your hotel’s commercial requirements. Calls, visits, enquiries and follow-ups - in your systems, under your brand.
Monthly review of activity, pipeline and secured business, with an end-of-contract ROI overview.
Working together
Sales & Team Support.
An agreed number of days each week or month, between two and five. Minimum two days a week for two months, then a rolling monthly contract.
RFP season, an opening, a rebrand, or a push into one segment. Defined start, defined finish, defined deliverables.
Priced on the project, not the number of days worked, with a two-month minimum. A good fit for work that starts quieter, then gets busy.
Longer cover for a vacancy or extended leave, with handover and training included.
Usually five days a week, with a 3-9 month minimum.
Representation at an industry show or agent appointments, a training day with your sales team, report writing, or a calling day.
Priced hourly, or for a small number of ad hoc days.
Day Rates. The day rate is the same whether I’m working remotely or on property. It can also be split across up to four hotels, subject to a minimum number of days per week.
About
StayProactive Consulting was founded in 2025 by Stephanie, after a career in commercial hotel sales across different types of properties and markets.
I’ve also worked with a number of independent properties and groups.
My success comes from the relationships I’ve built with agents and direct clients, and those relationships bring tangible results to my clients now. I take a strategic approach to finding the right business for each hotel, rather than throwing spaghetti at the wall.
Based in Leicestershire, working nationally and internationally.
FAQ
No. Before we start, we agree your competitive set, and I won’t represent any hotel in it while we’re working together. If my week is split between hotels, they’re never competing for the same business.
Your rates, accounts and results stay confidential. I work in your systems, under your brand, following your processes and approvals.
An email address set up, and access to any sales systems you use (CRM, Cvent, etc.).
You get a monthly review of activity, pipeline and secured business, and an ROI overview at the end of the contract.
Both. The day rate is the same whether I’m working remotely or on property, and I work with hotels nationally and internationally.
Free enquiry audit
I’ll send your hotel a realistic MICE enquiry, exactly as a client or agent would. You then get a short, honest report on what happened - free, and with no obligation.
One audit per hotel. Your team won’t know which enquiry it is.
